Have you received a payment reminder or demand for payment from AXA? Would you like to apply for a payment deferral or for payment in installments? You can find answers to these and other questions on this page.
Life doesn't always go to plan: a payment deferral gives you more time to settle your invoice. However, applying for a payment deferral or payment in installments involves extra costs.
Here's what you need to do:
Insurances for your household & buildings, your car, for travel, legal protection and more...
Payment deferral property and livingPrivate pension (pillar 3), investing, cover disability & death
Payment deferral pensions & assetsIf you haven't paid the compulsory liability insurance for your motor vehicle despite a demand for payment, you'll lose insurance cover. A message will then be sent to the road traffic office. The office will require you to surrender your vehicle registration document and license plates (this is required by law). Given this status, you as a customer will no longer be allowed to drive the vehicle to which the license plates are registered. You could also be charged several hundred francs by the relevant canton's road traffic office if your license plates are revoked.

If you can't pay an invoice or pay it on time, cover may be suspended. This happens the day after the reminder date has passed.
Example: you've received a demand for payment from us with a note to pay by March 31. If you don't pay the invoice by the given date, your insurance cover will be suspended from April 1.
To ensure that this doesn't happen to you, we recommend that you apply for a payment deferral or payment in installments in the myAXA customer portal.
The charge for a delayed payment in a demand for payment varies between CHF 5 and CHF 50.
If invoices remain unpaid despite a reminder and demand for payment, AXA retains the right to apply to the relevant enforcement office for debt enforcement on the outstanding amount.
You should contact the debt enforcement office in your place of residence to settle the outstanding invoice in full.
