For information on how we process your personal data in general, please see Part 1. Information on data protection, Part 2. Using the website and Part 4. Online portal / AXA apps (section 4.7 in particular). In the following list you will find all the cookies used on our website by ourselves and by third parties (except Jobsite). We update this list on a regular basis. You can, however, change your settings at any time.
In the Cookie Preferences Center you can change your consent to the use of non-essential cookies by our website to suit your needs at any time:
Cookies are small files. These files are placed on your computer or mobile device (smartphone/tablet) when you visit or use our website. Cookies store specific settings and data about your interaction with our website via your browser. When a cookie is activated, an identification number (cookie ID) is assigned to it. It allows us to identify your browser and to use the information stored in the cookie.
Some of the cookies we use are temporary session cookies that are automatically deleted from your computer or mobile device at the end of the browser session. We also use permanent cookies. These remain on your computer or mobile device after your browser session ends.
The storage duration depends on the cookie type but – with the exception of our third-party advertising cookies – it is generally no longer than 2 years. The cookies are automatically deactivated at the end of the programmed period of time. In the case of certain third-party cookies for advertising, AXA cannot currently limit the storage duration. However, you can delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time.
We may use tracking technology on some sites in order to identify your browser or device and in this way send you an offer for targeted products and services. These technologies enable the use of features on our sites as well as our mobile apps. We may also use certain technologies to determine whether you have opened an email (e.g. a newsletter) or have clicked on a link contained in an email.
If you decide not to accept our cookies/scripts or the cookies and technologies of our partner companies, you will not see certain information on our internet pages and will be unable to use some functions.
Where the GDPR is applicable, the legal basis in the case of strictly necessary cookies is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR) to provide you with functioning, optimized websites. The legal basis, where the GDPR is applicable, in relation to the other cookie categories is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR).
