We are constantly developing, either at work, while interacting with colleagues or as part of a training program. Lifelong learning is important to AXA, because as an innovative company in a fast-moving environment, we are all faced with new challenges every day.

  • Innovative skills platform
  • Minimum three-day study period
  • Broad range of training courses

Further development at AXA

To address changes in the market, we focus on training as an integral part of our employees' everyday working life. For us, development means being open to learning something new, ready to accept an active role and passing on something to others. We help you take your professional development into your own hands.

We would like our employees to take the opportunity of learning in different contexts:

Further development through internal mobility

With us, you can develop your skills through challenging tasks and in exciting projects. We believe in your potential and, as a large company, it is important to us to offer our employees a range of opportunities for their next career step. Our innovative skills platform shows you, for example, which jobs within AXA suit you. Regardless of whether internal job transfers are at the beginning, in the middle or towards the end of your professional career, we believe that they promote the development of new skills and open up perspectives. We promote the internal mobility of our employees: the position that you are applying for today does not have to be the last one that you hold at AXA.

Learning in a team

All our employees are experts in their field. Exchanges with colleagues offer you the chance to benefit from their knowledge. In our team workshops, our teams can also keep on developing together in various topics, such as design thinking and peer learning.

Training

It’s important to us that our employees’ knowledge is always up to date. That's why we offer all employees a “study period” of at least three days once a year that they can use for their own training purposes. AXA provides you with a broad catalog of courses and online training options that are accessible any time and from almost anywhere. The courses are carried out internally or in cooperation with partners. As well as technical skills, we invest a great deal in developing leadership skills, because leaders and their conduct have a significant impact on the development of employees at AXA.

  • Andreas Dasen

    Andreas, Customer Operations

The many opportunities within AXA have allowed me to gain an insight into a wide range of corporate areas. After studying business administration, I started working in Internal Audit. I traveled as far as Thailand for international projects and spent half a year in Paris for AXA Group Audit. When I switched into HR, I implemented various digitization initiatives. Today I’m a Business Analyst in Customer Operations and am responsible for AXA’s centralized customer and partner database. I can say that in the many years at AXA, I have never stopped learning new things - boredom is definitely not in my vocabulary.

  • Martin Papan

    Martin, IT

Since we started with agile transformation at AXA, I have worked in a variety of roles. As Scrum Master, Cross-Product Manager or in organizational development. What I learned from these activities is that something always stays the same: leadership is required in order to be successful. The CAS Leadership came right on cue for me and I learned what the core of leadership is: assuming responsibility and working continually on yourself and your relationship with colleagues.

  • Claudia Lienhard

    Claudia, Customer Experience & Strategy

Since joining the AXA Graduate Program, there have been numerous new opportunities to change, such as managing a project for process optimization and lean management in my previous job as legal expert, working on digitization projects at AXA in Paris or managing an operational department. I am currently dedicating myself to a new challenge where I have taken on the role of matchworker in charge of strategic projects. AXA also enabled me to study for a diploma in Insurance Management at the University of St. Gallen and is supporting me as a mother with flexible and family-friendly working hours based on a 70 percent weekly workload. It's clear to me that there is always something new to learn and I am responsible for my development.
